Kanab UTV Rentals

How do you complete the Utah OHV Safety Course?

The Utah OHV (Off-Highway Vehicle) Education Course is a free, 30-minute online course required for every person who plans to drive an OHV — including UTV rentals — on Utah public land. Complete it on the official Utah State Parks website, save your certificate to your phone, and bring it to pickup.

Why is the course required?

Utah law requires every OHV operator to carry proof of safety education on public lands. We will not be able to release a vehicle to any driver who arrives without a valid certificate, so we tell customers to complete it the day they book.

How long does it take?

About 30 minutes for most riders. The course is video-based with short knowledge checks; you can pause and resume, and there is no cost.

What do you bring to pickup?

Either a printed copy of the certificate or the PDF saved on your phone — whichever is faster to show. We also need each driver's valid driver's license (driver minimum age is 25).
